Thank You! Thank You!
The faculty and I would like to thank the kindergarten parents who provided meals for us during conferences. The food was fabulous and we appreciated every morsel! Also a big thank-you goes to our PTL room rep., Lauralee Oenick for coordinating the meals.
Conferences
Thanks so much for taking time to schedule a conference with me. I enjoyed sharing your child’s progress with you! I am a proud teacher, and love my kids! Thanks for allowing me to educate them.
Thanksgiving Feast
This past Thursday, we had an all school feast day. The kids made pilgrim and Indian hats to wear to the event. (It’s tradition!) The fifth grade led us in a prayer, the pre-kindergarten and kindergarten classes sang, and the fourth grade did a Thanksgiving reading. We thanked Peggy for all the good food she has made for us each day and presented her with a gift. It was a fun dinner because the whole school ate together.
Thanksgiving Week
Next week is a short week. There will be no school on Thursday and Friday.
Because of the short week, library books will be due on Wednesday instead of Thursday.
Fill the Dome
Students have until Monday to bring food items for the fill the dome food drive.
Perhaps when the kids go to Grandmas and Grandpas for Thanksgiving, they might have some can goods to share. We have been blessed with more than we need. God provides the “extra” so we can give to those who are in need. Our goal is to instill in our students a compassion and awareness for the needs of others through these projects.
Turkey Roll
The first annual Turkey Roll was a great success! We had 55 turkeys donated that is a total of 800lbs! Thank you to all that were able to donate a turkey, you helped make Thanksgiving complete for a local family.
Have a blessed Thanksgiving! There will be no newsletters going home next week. The December snack calendar is included with this note.
Don’t forget to check out our school website under the kindergarten link for pictures of the feast!
