Kindergarten News

May 18th, 2012

Dear Parents,

It’s hard to believe that next week is our last week of school. So many things have taken place and newsletters have been scarce. So let’s catch up.

We have been without Mrs. Muchow for the past week or so as she has been suffering from a slipped disk in her neck which has left her in a lot of pain. We pray she is better soon.

Thank You!

Mrs. Muchow and I would like to thank Kelly and Anita Kittelson for watching the kindergarten class last Friday during lunch and recess so the teacher’s could enjoy a special lunch and break for Teacher appreciation day. We loved the break! A special thank you to P.T.L for providing daily gifts and the special lunch for the teachers. I would also like to thank my students for the flowers and special cards given to us for Teacher appreciation day. What a wonderful family we have in Christ. Because of Mrs. Muchow’s absence, Jami Jacobson was kind enough to come with the Kindergarten class to Lindenwood Park for our class nature quest. Your assistance was invaluable, and appreciated.

Recap of Events

Our class has been busy doing many things the past couple of weeks. As you know we hatched chicks in class and were able to cuddle 7 fluffy chicks. They were picked up and returned to the farm last Friday with many tearful goodbyes. Last Tuesday, the kids and I hiked to Lindenwood Park to watch the 5-8th grade classes play in a softball tournament. We had fun eating a picnic lunch, playing in the park and watching the ball game with the 1st- 4th grade classes.

Tuesday’s walk did not hinder our second walk on Wednesday for the nature quest. The kids must have walked 5 or 6 miles Wednesday looking for bugs, birds and flowers in the park. I am blessed to have a wonderful, in shape, fun group of kids. All had fun.

A big thank you to my wonderful parents who had their child ready for the big show last night. The kids did a wonderful job singing and I am proud of them.

Kindergarten tested has been completed.
